SWIMMING tutors at a leisure centre in Felpham have a golden touch.

The swim school at the Inspire Felpham centre has become the first in the country, with its counterpart in Littlehampton, to achieve a new benchmark.

It has been awarded the Swimming Teachers’ Association’s gold standard STAmark.

This acts as a symbol of excellent standards and operation to swimmers.

An Inspire spokeswoman said: “People can rest
assured their swimming lessons are in safe
hands with us.

“We pride ourselves on successful swimming lessons, and provide a range of classes from parent and baby through to swim squads.

“Any child booked on their swim programme receives the added bonus of free swimming throughout the term.”

STAmark has bronze, silver and gold levels. It provides a standard level of accreditation that shows prestige in the key areas of running a swim school.

Inspire Leisure had to show levels of competence in providing swimming lessons and swimming pool operation to industry standards and best practice.
