Getting fit for free with football club

A CHARITY linked to a top football club is helping
Bognor Regis and Yapton residents to get fit.

The Albion in the Community arm of Brighton and Hove FC is staging courses in the two areas to enable people to improve their health for free.

Both courses start next Monday and last until April 28. The course in Yapton is being held in the village hall from 10am-midday.

The Bognor course will take place from 6.30pm-8.30pm at the Bognor Regis Youth and Community Centre on Westloats Lane.

AITC wellbeing coach Paul Brackley said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer this fantastic opportunity for Arun residents to join our free exercise and nutrition classes.

“Supported by funding from Arun District Council’s Wellbeing Hub, the courses are aimed at residents who want to improve their diet, activity and fitness levels.”

The ten sessions will cover health needs like weight loss.

Recent figures from Public Health England show two-thirds of West Sussex residents are overweight or obese.
