Funds for groups who promote health

CASH for groups across Bognor Regis who promote good living is up for grabs.

Community groups with ideas about how to promote healthy living in the Arun district can apply for up to £500.

The Arun Wellbeing and Health Partnership is funding the grants to help voluntary, community and charity groups to develop projects which will engage and support people in improving their wellbeing.

Paul Wotherspoon, Arun’s cabinet member for community development, said: “We want to support those organisations who make a positive difference to the lives of people in Arun, not only by improving their health, but also their sense of wellbeing.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to apply for funding and I’m sure the money will be put to good use by those who are successful.”

The scheme has an easy one stage application process and the next deadline for submissions is June 20.

To be eligible, groups must demonstrate their activities promote or support one or more of the partnership’s priorities.
