POLICE will combat thefts in the Bognor Regis area with new security kits.

Officers are providing catalytic converter security kits free of charge after a spate of thefts.

These have been to three Mercedes Sprinter Vans and one Mercedes 313. The criminals struck on March 20, 22 and 23.

The kits are simple to use at home or work and include a metal marking solution, warning labels and details on how to register your information on a database.

There are various ways you can collect one of these kits.

You can pop into the Police Station in London Road or visit either Bognor Motor Vehicle Solutions in Christie Place or Around the Benz at the Rudford Industrial Estate in Ford.

Anyone who sees any suspicious activity around cars parked overnight is asked to call 999.

If you have any other information contact police on 101 or email contact.centre@sussex.pnn.police.uk

You can also call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
