TALKS are to be held about the future of car parking in Felpham.
Parish councillors will be meeting Arun District Council officials over the continuation of free parking in the Grassmere and Links Avenue sites.
Both councils have paid towards the cost of running the car parks for several years without any income from charging motorists.
Cllr Paul English, the parish council’s chairman, said: “If Arun want the car parks to be kept free, they want more money to do that.
“That’s why we are going to go into discussions with them, which is the right thing to do.”
Senior Arun councillor Paul Dendle pointed out the parish council’s £3,360 a year contribution while Arun paid £3,314 more than this.
