Entries are growing for annual run

ENTRIES are pouring in for this year’s Bognor Prom 10k road race.

Another big field of runners is expected by the organisers in the event’s 20th anniversary year.

Preparations by Bognor Hotham Rotary Club to stage the run at 10.30am on May 16 are well underway.

Press officer John Holman said: “Over the years, many thousands of pounds have been raised for local and national charities and good causes.

“This year, the 10k is proud to support as its charity partner the much-appreciated work of Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.”

The route will start and finish at Hotham Park and follow its usual course along The Esplanade to Felpham and back again.

Runners can enter online at www.bognorprom10k.org or on an entry form from libraries, Bognor Regis Observer office/visitor information point and local gyms and health clubs.

Two fun runs of 1,500m and 800m will take place in the morning for those aged 12-14 and 8-11. Details: 01243 584049.
