CHILDREN in Pagham will have a tasty time thanks to a group of volunteers.
The Village Pre-School has been given £100 from The Mulberries to buy a cooker. This will enable its members to learn how to cook.
The money was raised by The Mulberries from live music nights.
Linda Wood, who chairs the group, said: “In the last year, The Mulberries have distributed over £4,000 to the village hall and local community organisations and charities.
“Barn dances, jazz nights and rock and roll bands – all live at Pagham Village Hall – have provided some great nights for the community.”
Organisations supported have included Girl Guides, Sea Scouts, Boy Scouts, Riding for the Disabled, Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice and Sussex Snowdrop Trust.
The Mulberries’ first night for this year was sold out last Saturday. May 31 will see Rhinestone supply the music.
The Minkees will be playing on September 27 and Rocking Colin and the Acetones on November 22.
