Cockerels stolen and lock broken

TWO cockerels have 
been stolen from a 
Middleton garden.

The bird theft in Yapton Road was reported to officers from Sussex Police on April 9.

It is believed the animals were stolen between 6pm 
the previous day and 8am 
that morning.

In order to get to the cockerels, the thief broke the lock of their walk-in cage.

The birds have been described as brown with flecks of black and white, and they were both small Fazzel Polish Bantams.

A water feeder was also taken.

Residents living close 
by with birds should keep an eye out for anyone 
acting suspiciously in 
their area.
