BREAKING NEWS: Teenager charged in connection with death of Jasmine Elkasmi

A 17-year-old Tangmere boy has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a crash on the A285 at Halnaker last September which killed a Bognor Regis teenager.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is also charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He will appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on February 20.

A Vauxhall Corsa car travelling south came off the road and overturned on Saturday, September 21, 2013. Passenger Jasmine Elkasmi, 16, of Carlton Avenue, Bognor, died of her injuries and two other 16-year-old girl passengers who were in the car were seriously injured.

Jasmine was studying hair and beauty at Chichester College and had studied at The Regis School in Bognor before starting college.
