Bognor Regis weather remained sunny in December
DECEMBER was mild and wet in Bognor Regis.
The month saw a highest temperature of 13.4C on four days: the 1st, 2nd, 21st and 22nd.
This led to a mean maximum temperature of 9.9C – much higher than the 8.62C monthly average.
But, surprisingly, the 3.8C mean minimum temperature was lower than the 4.3C average.
The coldest time was the -3.6C recorded at the town council’s Waterloo Square weather station on the 10th.
It also rained on 22 of the month’s 31 days (the 12th was the wettest day with 19.4mm) and much of the rain was joined by near gale force winds.
It was also sunnier than usual at 60.3 hours boosted by 6.5 hours on the 9th.
