CRAZY Ladies who are using two wheels for charity have invited others to use their two legs in Felpham.
Karen Holman has joined her friend, Susie de Las Casas, to stage a 5k charity jog at King George V Field.
The event at 2.30pm on April 14 will help them raise funds for their 1,000-mile cross-country ride a month later.
Karen and Susie’s challenge from Land’s End to John O’Groats has earned them their nickname from their friends.
Karen, 46, of Roundle Avenue, said: “The jog will be for anyone who wants a run. It’s not about having winners. It’s about the satisfaction of completing it.”
It will cost £5 to enter, no charge for accompanied children.
The funds raised will go towards the pair’s fundraising for Myeloma UK for Karen and Alzheimer’s Society for Susie, 61.
Karen’s choice is in memory of her late father, Don Noble. He lived in Elmer until his death aged 67 from myeloma in December 2011.
“My father was well known for his love of classic bikes and old cars,” said Karen. “He used to be in Sands of Time with his bike or Austin Seven convertible with the hood down.”
Jog entries should be made to 07545 067501 or firstname.lastname@example.org
