HEALTH advice for older people around Bognor Regis is available in a new project.
Arun Wellbeing has launched the initiative aimed at improving the lifestyles of those aged 65 and over.
Its has commissioned Albion in the Community to bring in wellbeing advisers to talk to the residents about being more energetic and eating more healthily.
More than one in four residents, 26 per cent, of the Arun district is over 65, to put the area in the top ten in England and Wales for the population in that age group.
Cllr Paul Wotherspoon, who heads Arun District Council’s community development work, said: “The older people in our community are extremely important to us.
“We have tailored the project to what older people tell us they want help with.
“The advisers can go to their homes and support them in mantaining a healthier lifestyle, while being realistic about what they can achieve.”
