RESIDENTS across Arun are being encouraged to have their say about the leisure and cultural facilities currently on offer.
A short survey has been launched by the district council in order to gather feedback from local residents.
The findings will be used to help shape the council’s new leisure strategy, which aims to gather views about current provision and identify where improvements may be needed.
A number of facilities, operated both by the council as well as other providers in and around the district, will be covered by the strategy.
Cllr Norman Dingemans, whose Economic and Cultural Development portfolio covers leisure services, said: “This is a great opportunity for residents and businesses to contribute to the debate about how we model our leisure and culture services to make the best of what Arun has to offer residents and visitors now and in the future.
“It covers all aspects of leisure and cultural services from swimming pools to sailing and theatres and cinemas.”
The survey, which will be live until October 24, 2011, includes questions around how people spend their leisure time, how they rate existing facilities and how much they would like to see new or improved facilities.
Cllr Dingemans added: “Residents views are very important to us, as the results will inform the development and improvement of our services over the coming years.”
