THE glory days of Goodwood Motor Circuit were honoured in style at this year’s Revival celebrations, combining the finest historic motor racing, fashion and aircraft of the last century.
Despite the rain, thousands of visitors poured into the motor circuit over the weekend to see famous drivers and motorsport enthusiasts take to the track.
Rowan Atkinson, Sir Chris Hoy, Chris Evans and TV chef James Martin were among those taking part with Sir Jackie Stewart, Derek Bell and Sir Stirling Moss also adding to the excitement.
There were racing anniversaries, the Ford GT40, Jim Clark’s first world championship and the Mini Cooper S were celebrating their 50th year.
A real revival highlight was the Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration Race, a one-hour, two driver event – evoking the spirit of the races which took place at Goodwood between 1960 and 1964.
