ARTIST Mark Weston is among those who works have ushered in the new year at an art gallery.

Mark, 53, has five acrylic paintings in the latest Affordable Art exhibition at the Cloudhopper Gallery in the High Street.

The professional painter and sign writer has enjoyed successes in earlier events there. He said: “This is a lovely gallery and such a nice space. There is a good standard of work on show.”

Littlehampton resident Mark said: “It’s all about getting people through the door. This place deserves to do really well.

“It’s still a tremendous kick when somebody buys your work. The fact someone is prepared to hand over their money for something you have spent a lot of time on means a lot. It’s a great compliment.”

Su Cloud, a director of gallery operator Community Arts Bognor Regis, said: “This is the second year we have had an affordable art exhibition.

“it gives people the chance to get a good quality piece of art for a reasonable price. The prices start at £20 and and the most is £120.”

There are about 40 paintings, ten photographs and 30 ceramic pieces in the exhibition. It lasts until February 2.

The gallery is open 10am-4pm Tuesdays to Saturdays.
