Funding offer is made to local groups

A CASH boost of up to £1,000 is on offer to groups in the Bognor Regis area.

The Arun Wellbeing and Health Small Grants are available for voluntary, community and charity groups.

Applications are invited from not-for-profit organisations for activities which promote or support wellbeing and health.

Paul Wotherspoon, Arun District Council’s cabinet member for community development, said: “These grants can help support voluntary, charity and community groups in the district and the valuable work and support they provide to residents.”

To be eligible for funding, groups must demonstrate their activities either promote or support one or more of the Arun Wellbeing priorities.

These include prevention of ill-health, information, improving mental wellbeing, tackling health inequalities, providing services for older people, and working with families, young people and children on a range of lifestyle issues.

The next deadline for submissions is August 2
