Motorists face long delays home after a motorbike accident this evening (October 1).
The accident at Cosham on the westbound M27 carriageway is causing traffic to back up beyond Emsworth.
As drivers look to find alternative routes, journeys through Havant, Bedhampton and along other nearby B-roads also appear to be heavily congested.
Queues stretch back around five miles from the junction 12 turnoff for Port Solent to beyond Emsworth.
Three lanes were initially blocked but as of 6.20pm they had all been reopened. However traffic is still moving very slowly due to congestion.
