Encouraging women to join her for the day, Jacqueline waived her usual fees and instead invited attendees to donate to local women’s organisation My Sister’s House.

The event was organised to coincide with International Women’s Day. It was a huge success and raised over £200 for My Sister’s House

Jacqueline said: “International Women’s Day is about promoting inclusion and equality, it’s a time for women to come together and support one another. My work is focused on helping other women improve their health and fitness so offering free fitness sessions is a great way to celebrate and contribute to International Women’s Day.

“As well as taking part in the fitness sessions everyone enjoyed a range of healthy home-made snacks before they left. Some of the women who attended have never worked with a personal trainer before and were a little apprehensive but they soon relaxed and really enjoyed the supportive atmosphere. We had women of all ages and abilities come along, as well as mums with babies. It was wonderful that the event encouraged lots of women to get active for the day, as well as raising much needed funds for My Sister’s House”.

My Sister’s House hosted their own International Women’s Day event at the Regis Centre and Jacqueline went along to hear first-hand about the organisations work.

She said: “It was very moving to listen to the opening talk, My Sister’s House perform a valuable role working with vulnerable women in the community. I’m pleased to have supported them with the fitness fundraiser, I plan to run similar events in the future”.
