Five fire engines were sent to deal with a blaze at Ford Industrial Estate this morning.
A commercial smoking unit was severely damaged by fire, a spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed.
The unit was 60 per cent destroyed by fire and 40 per cent of the building was damaged by heat and smoke damage, the spokesperson said.
Engines from Littlehampton, Arundel, Bognor Regis and Worthing were dispatched to the scene this morning, with the fire put out by 10.30am.
Breathing apparatus, hose reels, covering jets, safety jets and a hydrant were used in the effort to deal with the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, the fire service spokesperson said, and the case is being left open for investigation.
