GLOBE-trotting runners have returned after completing a race in one of Bognor Regis’ twin towns.

The runners, who both live in Felpham, have recently come back from Bognor’s French twin town of St Maur des Fossés where they took part in a 10k competition.

International tri-athlete Sarah Jouquet came second in a time of 47 minutes and nine seconds, and Linda Leopoldo came 26th in a time of just one hour,in the over-40s class. Both are hairdressers and members of the local Tuff-Fitty club.

On Monday, October 31, a group of members are to hold a meeting with the Littlehampton Twinning Association to discuss a joint venture.

As Littlehampton is twinned with Chenneviers Sur Marne which is close to St Maur des Fosses it is hoped a future trip together can be planned.

The Bognor Regis Twinning Association’s next social event will be a Beaujolais Bistro.

Meanwhile the date for the association’s annual general meeting has been booked for January 31, and it will take place at the town hall.
