THERE were smiles and the clink off glasses as a new Bognor Regis charity shop was officially declared open for business.
4SIGHT has moved to 11 York Road, just around the corner from its old one in the Arcade.
The charity’s chief executive Martin Pearson said: “We are very pleased to be officially opening for business in our new home.
“It is about 25 per cent bigger than our old store and it will give us the scope to stock a lot of different items. We were never able to have furniture before because there was not the room, but now we can.”
“We hope this will be a great place for people to come and not only shop but our hope is to find out a bit more about what we do as a charity.
The volunteer-run shop raises money to support people in West Sussex who are visually impaired.
4SIGHT have had a charity shop in the town for around six years now.
So far it’s generated more than £300,000.
“The staff and volunteers have all worked incredibly hard. This move really couldn’t have happened with out them,” added Mr Pearson.
The charity also has its headquarters in nearby Victoria Drive as well.
The ribbon cutting took place on January 12.
