Royal card delight for pre-school

North Bersted pre-school Dizzy Ducklings was delighted to receive a personal message from Buckingham Palace.

The letter came with a thank you card from the Queen, following her 90th birthday.

The pre-school celebrated the Queen’s birthday in style by dressing in red, white and blue and taking part in a morning of royal fun and games.

The children made a special birthday card using a collage of stamps they had collected and this was posted to Buckingham Palace.

Emma, events co-ordinator, said: “The children of Dizzy Ducklings North Bersted Preschool were very excited and honoured to have received a thank you card from the Queen.”

Lady-in-waiting Richenda Elton wrote to say the Queen greatly appreciated the care the children had taken with their artwork.

“The Queen wishes me to write and thank you for the splendid handmade card which you sent on this occasion of Her Majesty’s ninetieth birthday,” she wrote.
