Sherborne Road will have double yellow lines painted along both sides to the south of Sherlock Avenue and around the junction with Sherlock Avenue.

The changes are being made by West Sussex County Council in response to the expansion of Parklands Primary School, which includes a new access to Durnford Close for drop-off and pick-up at the school.

New 15-minute waiting bays will be introduced along Durnford Close from 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, as well as new ‘no waiting’ areas along parts of Sherborne Road.

The changes are necessary ‘to keep the school access clear of parked cars and facilitate the free flow of traffic,’ the council said.
