GCSE RESULTS: Felpham Community College

Shrieks of excitement rang out in Felpham as students collected their GCSE results.

Tears of joy were shed at Felpham Community College today (Thursday, August 23) as pupils celebrated another year of fantastic GCSE results at the Felpham Way school.

The school’s headteacher Mark Anstiss said he was pleased with the good performance in the varied range of GCSEs offered as options.

“It is always pleasing to see the hard work of teachers and students paying off when results in a subject exceed our challenging targets,” he said.

“For example, our results in triple science were excellent again and also GCSE French where 96 per cent of our students gained a C grade or above.”

In addition to GCSEs, there were improvements in vocational qualifications. BTec level two business studies was a particular example where 85 per cent of students gained a starred distinction.
