A CHOCOLATE panda cake, a Mexican cake and a French profiterole tower were the tasty winners of a college’s global bake-off challenge.

Felpham Community College staged the celebration of cooking in its annual international week. Students, staff and parents were given a country from which they chose a cake to bake in their own categories.

Matthieu Cauchy-Duvel, of the college, said: “The week was a big success and we look forward to doing it again next year, even bigger and better.”

The best student cake was baked by Adam Dewyer, 11, for his panda cake representing China.

The best parent cake came from Sarah Evans, the mother of Mia Evans, 13, and the staff category was won by Helen Sothcott with her incredible edible tower.
