BIRDS will benefit from a donation made by the eco-warriors at Rose Green Infant School.
The environmentally-minded pupils handed over £158 to John and Anne Bass, of Willowhale Farm Residents’ Association, to spend on the area’s diamond jubilee garden.
The money was raised at the school’s eco-day.
Mr Bass said: “The eco-warriors decided that, instead of the money going towards plants and bulbs in the school garden, they would rather it be spent on more bulbs and plants in the garden.
“It will also go towards bird seed and more bird and insect boxes for the garden.”
The garden in Halnaker Gardens was opened in June.
