Courses for adult learners still running

ADULT learning courses continue to be available in the Bognor Regis area, residents have been re-assured.

West Sussex County Council’s education boss Peter Griffiths said mature students would find its adult and community learning service was always ready to welcome new students.

“There has been recent media coverage on the future of the Futures Training offices in Bognor’s High Street, operated by Woodspeen Training.

“I’d like to reassure residents who are thinking of starting an adult learning class to learn a new qualification or skill, that the West Sussex adult and community learning service has hundreds of courses available in the local area,” he said.

“We are committed to local adult learning and have many courses and qualifications available.

“They include English, maths, English for speakers of other languages, computers, languages, arts and crafts and fitness to name just a few.

“We are always keen to hear from groups of people who might like a specific course put on, if what they are looking for isn’t available.”

The adult and community learning service runs the Bognor Regis Adult and Community Learning Centre based at The Regis School off Westloats Lane.
