Kim Miles, owner and manger of the pre-school said: “She has also been through intense chemo and is about to start six to seven weeks of radiation at Southampton Hospital.

“We are raising money for the Marshall-Williams family as their youngest daughter Phoebe currently attends our pre-school. We thought we would try to help as much as we can to support the family.”

The dressing up day was the start of the fundraising and a coffee morning for the children and their parents will follow tomorrow.

Kim added: “Many local businesses have kindly donated some fantastic prizes towards the raffle and this is greatly appreciated, along with the knowledge that the community have been so supportive.”
