Easter fun on offer from a Bognor Regis group

EASTER fun is being provided by a Bognor Regis group.

The open day and children’s event is taking place in Waterloo Square thanks to the RAF Association.

It is opening its club to the public from 11.30am-11pm on Easter Monday.

This will include a first Easter egg hunt to be staged from midday to 4pm.

The fun for the young full programme of entertainment will be staged in the club and in Waterloo Square Gardens opposite.

Activities will include face painting, a wishing tree and a range of games.

A barbecue will be available in the gardens. Other refreshments will be on sale in the club.

A RAFA spokesman said: “All profits from the Easter egg hunt will be going to the RAF Association’s charity, the Wings Appeal.

“Visitors will be able to see how the charity contributes to welfare and support throughout the whole ‘RAF family’ and the community.”

This help extends from youth members to serving personnel and to veterans.

Those who go along will also be able to appreciate the club’s historic building.

The premises are classified as a building or structure of character. Formerly The Hotham Club, it served as a meeting place for gentlemen only from the 1920s up to 1972. Many of the original features, including the domed roof lights, have been preserved.
