Dementia will be the subject of special day

FACTS about dementia will be available at a special event in Bognor Regis next week.

The awareness day will take place from 10am-3pm on Thursday at the town’s library on London Road.

Visitors will be able to find an array of services in one place to provide information and support about the illness.

Felicity Masters, West Sussex County Council’s community librarian, said: “We have a huge range of local and national groups coming along to meet people and talk about what information and support they can offer.”

Those taking part include the Alzheimer’s Society, the Arun Wellbeing Hub, Coastal West Sussex Mind, St Wilfrid’s Hospice and Crossroads Care.

A new library card for people with dementia and other memory problems will also be launched so it is easier for them to use the service.
