Felpham man to appear in court over attempted murder

A MAN has been charged with attempted murder in Felpham.

Joel Reed, 24, of no fixed address, was due to appear in custody at Chichester Magistrates’ Court today (February 27).

Police were called to an address in Collyer Avenue just after 11am on Sunday, February 17, to a report a 35-year-old man had been slashed across the throat with a knife.

The victim was taken to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester to be treated for the wound, and has since been discharged.

Reed’s mother, Emma Reed, 42, of Felpham Road, has been charged with assisting an offender and is due to appear on bail at Chichester Magistrates Court on March 20.
