DETECTIVES are seeking help from victims of burglary and car crime in the Bognor Regis area to identify their recovered property.

Items still unidentified - mostly handbags and jewellery - have been photographed and added to the Sussex Police website in a bid to reunite them with their rightful owners.

A police spokesperson said: “We believe that the majority of this property has come from burglaries and car break-ins in Bognor and Felpham and would encourage any victims in these areas this to view the website.

“Some of the items are of little monetary value but are very distinctive and the owner may recognise something of theirs that was of great sentimental value.”

You can view the property online at www.property.sussex-police.co.uk.

If you recognise any items then call 101 and quote Operation Arctic and officers will investigate.

If you don’t have internet access or need any assistance you can also call 101 quoting Operation Arctic.

A 40-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both from Bognor, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and have been bailed until January 18 pending further enquiries.
