Don’t hand over money

A POLICE warning has been issued after a woman was taken to the bank by builders to withdraw money.

The woman, who lives in Bersted, was accompanied by the builders who wanted money for work they had not yet started.

Police advice is to not pay large amounts of money for unstarted or unfinished work.

If you have any problems regarding workmanship, you should contact Trading Standards immediately on 01243 642125.

Anyone who has had a similar experience should contact Sussex Police on the non-emergency number 101 to report it or if it is an emergency, call 999.
