POLICE arrested 11 men following a drugs raid in the Bognor Regis area on Sunday night (December 23).
Officers carried out warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act at The Old Barn pub, in Felpham Road, Felpham.
During the operation a quantity of suspected class A and class B drugs was seized.
Two men, a 70-year-old and 34-year-old from Bognor, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
A further two men, a 29-year-old and 30-year-old, both from Bognor, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Six men, aged 31, 28, 23, 51, 35 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs. They were all from Bognor.
A 23-year-old from Bognor was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.
All remain in custody this morning (December 24).
Inspector Nick Bowman, of Arun Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This was a significant operation for the police involving officers from across the force in a co-ordinated effort with the licensing and intelligence teams.
“Today we are speaking to the community to fully understand the impact of drugs in this area and I would appeal to anyone who feels affected by drugs in their community to speak to police.”
