THE Observer is receiving early reports of a body on Chichester Bar, at the entrance to Chichester Harbour today (Wednesday, September 4).
It is believed an RNLI lifeboat from Hayling Island and a police launch have been sent to investigate.

Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed a call was made at 4.20pm today to the Solent Coastguard after reports of a body found near the Witterings.
The Observer has also been informed a person was reported missing off the coast of West Wittering on Monday afternoon, with both the Selsey and Hayling Island lifeboats deployed. It is unclear at this time whether the two incidents are linked.
