MARGARET Thatcher’s face adorned one of the Christmas trees which filled Felpham’s parish church.
The former prime minister was one of the women of note chosen by the women’s group at St Mary’s Church for its contribution to the festive festival.
Other females whose faces filled the baubles on the group’s trees included Queen Victoria and Florence Nightingale.
The choir’s church members also had their photographs on show as part of musical note decorations on their tree. A total of 33 of the symbols of Christmas brought cheer to the church .
One of the festival’s organisers, Chris Allen, said: “This event is for the church and for the community.
“People have been saying how beautiful the church looks and how nice it is to come in out of the cold to the warmth and brightness of the church.” Snow saw the last festival scrapped in 2010.
