A HAIRDRESSER from Chichester has been shortlisted for the ‘Oscars’ of hairdressing.
Jasmine Connor, 19, of Q Hair and Beauty, is a finalist for HJ’s 2013 British Hairdressing Business Awards in the Junior of the Year category.
After an intense judging process, key business associates and industry names confirmed Jasmine as a finalist.
Along with five others, Jasmine will now face a two-month wait until winners are announced in September.
“To achieve finalist status in these awards is great recognition and a huge honour and Jasmine should be proud of her achievement,” said publishing director of HJ’s, Jayne Lewis-Orr.
“We received many entries this year and the standard has been truly impressive and it is testament to her commitment to her clients and team that she has secured a place in the final.”
Jasmine said: “Training and education is a priority at our salon and I’ve been fortunate to enjoy it since I was 14 years old when I joined the Tiger Club, an after-school training group.”
She recently won the Junior Stylist gong at the Portsmouth News Hair and Beauty Awards.
