Chichester College is one of the first colleges to join a new apprenticeship programme for aspiring planners.

Five new apprentices have embarked on the scheme, which has been developed by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and the Construction Industry Council.

The apprentices, who are employed by a variety of councils across the south, are: Jamie Alley, Nicholas Whittington, Greg Anderson, Andrew Pommells and Alex Carruthers.

The new apprenticeship will span two years and combines workplace experience with time spent in the classroom.
