The suspect wanted by the British Transport Police

THIS man is wanted in connection with a cycle theft at Bognor Regis railway station.

The suspect, seen on CCTV, has been included in the British Transport Police’s latest ‘Top 10’ gallery of cycle crimes across Sussex.

BTP officers are calling on members of the public to help them name the man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

Inspector Gary Ancell said: “To try and get names for these men and women, we’ve followed multiple avenues of enquiry and circulated pictures to local neighbourhood policing teams, but to no avail so far.

“We’re now asking for help from members of the public to identify them. If you know any of these people and can tell us who they are, we want to hear from you.”

The suspect is wanted in connection with a cycle stolen from the station around 12.55pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2011.

“Unfortunately cycles are a popular target for thieves but there are several steps people can take to ensure their bikes are adequately marked and secured to help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of bike theft,” said Insp Ancell.

Anyone with information about the incident or who recognises the suspect should contact the BTP on 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference B12/LSA of 23/01/12 and the image number.
