A FORMER senior police officer from Middleton has launched a service to help businesses comply with cleaning and hygiene rules.
Martyn Faint, a former Detective Inspector with Sussex Police, will provide consultancy, training and hygiene answers to premises such as homes, hotels and restaurants.
Martyn has invested in a franchise with Chemex to provide more than 600 cleaning and hygiene products.
He said: “Whether it is entire hygiene systems for food preparation or cleaning and infection control systems for residential nursing homes, we take away the burden of negotiating the maze of ever-tightening regulations and allow our customers to concentrate on running their businesses.”
Martyn, who recently retired after 30 years service with the police said he was looking forward to a new challenge. “The prospect of working with local businesses and helping them to maintain the most effective and successful health and safety regimes has a big appeal to me.”
His franchise will serve businesses across a wide area of Sussex.
Michael Graham, Chemex’s managing director, said: “Martyn comes from an impeccable public service background and I’m sure he will be an asset to the local business community.”
