Tip top young people will celebrate with awards

AN AWARDS night will celebrate the pick of youngsters from across the Bognor Regis area.

The best of the best will be showcased at the Arun Youth Conference and Arun Youth Community Awards 2013 on March 14.

The conference during the day at the Bognor campus of the University of Chichester will look at leisure issues.

In the evening festivities will move to Littlehampton, where the young people’s contribution to the district will be celebrated in style.

Chairman of the district council, Ann Smee, said: “I am looking forward to meeting the young people at the awards ceremony and hearing their stories.

“Through the Arun Youth Council and other work
with young people, it has been a privilege to hear
about the exceptional young people across our district
who demonstrate through their actions the real meaning and value of community spirit.”

Public nominations have come in to co-organiser of the awards, Inspire Leisure, over the past few weeks.

These have recognised how young people have as individuals or as part of a group made a positive contribution to the community.
