Bognor-based entrepreneur Heather Gale has launched a new business to help smokers in Sussex quit the habit.

Heather started her career as a professional PA and she has successfully run her own telemarketing and natural health products companies. She has now become the local representative for the Quit Smoking Pal (QSP) programme covering the areas of Bognor, Chichester, Arundel, Emsworth, Littlehampton, Worthing, Petworth and Lancing.

Quit Smoking Pal (QSP) is a unique six-week smoking cessation programme which combines a patented nicotine blocking technology with personal coaching to help people stop smoking. The programme evolved out of the highly successful Rosen Stop Smoking Programme that was employed by large corporations in the UK to help their smoking employees give up when the national smoking bans were imposed.

Heather said: “I have worked in the holistic health field and I have seen first hand the impact smoking has on a person’s health and well-being.

“Everyone should think about how they can improve their lifestyle and health and what better way to start than to quit smoking. Moreover, there are the financial benefits. Someone who gives up a 30-a-day habit can save £4,380 over the course of a year, enough for that fantastic family holiday you’ve always dreamed of!”

She added: “People find it very difficult to give up smoking as research has shown that nicotine can be as addictive as Class A drugs, but the Rosen Programme was built on scientific research and the combination of nicotine blocking and personal coaching has a track record of success.”
