Housing views sought

RESIDENTS with a view about how Arun District Council should allocate social housing have a second chance to have their say.

The council is reviewing its scheme to ensure it enables people to move into its homes in the fairest way. This is needed because there is not enough housing.

A second stage of the council’s consultation has started based on a revised draft allocation scheme following an initial survey. The latest deadline for comments on www.arun.gov.uk/haveyoursay is June 18.

A total of 581 responses – to 5,421 questionnaires – were received by Arun from applicants on its housing register last month during the first consultation.

Felpham resident Anthony Ferrett won a £50 prize draw for replying and the chance to put his views to the councillor in charge of housing, Roger Elkins.
