TOURISM in the Bognor Regis area had a bumper year in 2012.
It was a very busy year for Arun District Council’s tourism brand, Sussex by the Sea.
Special events included the launch of its new-look visitor guide and the visit of the Olympic torch to the area.
The council’s cabinet member for environmental services, Cllr Paul Dendle, said: “2012 has presented us with some fantastic opportunities to promote the local area to as wide an audience as possible.
“We worked hard to take advantage of high-profile events such as the Jubilee and the Olympics and we will continue to look at new and exciting ideas to get people to come to the district in 2013.”
