Fairtrade celebration in Bognor Regis

FAIRTRADE Fortnight is being celebrated in Bognor Regis this month.

The town’s Vineyard Fairtrade shop will be increasing its offers during the annual event from February 27 until March 11.

Anyone who spend at least £10 in the High Street outlet during the fortnight will receive a free hot drink.

There will also be 20 per cent discount on all stainless steel tableware made by Noahs Ark in India.

Dilshad, a supplier of stainless steel goods for Noah’s Ark, said: “Noah’s Ark has helped us to develop our business with fair trade principles, introduce safer working methods and access new markets.”

The fortnight’s theme is to encourage as many people as possible to take a step towards Fairtrade in 2012.

That could consist of swapping sugar to Fairtrade or hosting a chocolate tasting event. Vineyard Fairtrade has seen a growing number of customers since its shop opened last March.
