Elmer Post Office back in business

RESIDENTS of Elmer have their Post Office back.

The new owner of Elmer Beach General Store and Post Office has reopened the counter for buying stamps and posting parcels.

Harshad Patel brought in former Summerley Post Office joint operator Margaret Wadley to run the postal side of the Elmer Road business while he qualifies as a postmaster.

“We reopened the Post Office two weeks ago,” said Mr Patel, 43. “The general store opened last November 28. People are very pleased to have them open again. Trade is really picking up.

“It’s all about treating your customers right and stocking the goods they want at the right price. Some of my prices are lower than Tesco and the other supermarkets.

Mr Patel came to the Bognor Regis area six years ago. He owns Felpham Bazaar and the nearby Eddie’s Corner Shop.
