FAMILIES in search of Christmas cheer are boosting bookings at Butlin’s in Bognor Regis.
The holiday firm reports a 15 per cent rise in festive stays later this month at its three resorts compared to last year’s record. This equals 500 more families booking so far.
The new total takes the number of UK families spending Christmas at the firm’s three resorts to 14,000 - 4,000 of them in Bognor.
Mike Crowther, Butlin’s operational director, said: “Families have been working harder than ever this year, which has prompted them to think about what’s really important when it comes to Christmas.
“Record sales in excess of £7m tell us that families want quality time to re-connect without the added stress of cooking and entertaining.”
A customer report for Butlin’s shows a third of parents are too tired to play the perfect host at Christmas. Three out of five also appreciate the entertainment.
