YOUNG people taking part in a Bognor Regis-based programme are getting out and about thanks to support from Stagecoach buses.

Prince’s Trust team programme co-ordinator Roy Newnham-Grenier and current course members met to say thank you for the continued support.

Roy said: “Each year we run three self-development courses each lasting 12 weeks, comprising 15 young people. “Transport is essential to everyone but not always affordable for team members, so the free travel can be such a huge benefit to enable an individual to be involved.”

Since 2005, Stagecoach’s Chichester depot has provided free travel worth more than £9,000 annually so those taking part in the Prince’s Trust course can travel to and from work and community placements.

Stagecoach’s Chichester operations manager Simon Tramalloni said: “We are delighted to support the Prince’s Trust scheme and are pleased so many of the young people benefit which helps gain valuable life skills.”

Team programme member Ronnie Kilmaytys said: “Our free bus passes get you from A to B. I don’t think we would be able to afford to do the course without the bus passes from Stagecoach and I’m very grateful for this.”
