A POLICE operation caught a Bognor Regis pub selling alcohol to a child.
The undercover test purchase took place at The Station in Station Road.
Its management will be invited to a meeting with the police to discuss the sale.
Sergeant Mike Balmer, of Sussex Police, said: “The sale of alcohol to children remains of great concern to us.
“There is a direct link between underage drinking and the level of anti-social behaviour and crime that residents in the local community have to endure.
“These operations send an important message to those who continue to put children in danger that this will not be tolerated.
“We will continue to carry out test purchases to deal with those who sell alcohol to minors.”
Business owners who broke the law when selling alcohol put their licences at risk as well as facing fines, he said.
The investigation last Thursday, April 23, also targeted other premises in Worthing, Littlehampton and Rustington. Three were caught selling alcohol and two refused.
