Bognor dog show and fun day this weekend

A FUN dog show is being held in West Meads this weekend.

The AlphaPet surgery will be staging the event as part of its fun day on the neighbouring Queen’s Field on Sunday.

The registration for the dog show starts at midday. The first of the six classes begins an hour later. They include the prettiest bitch, the most appealing scruff and the dog most like its owner. Entry is £1.50 a class.

But the show is just one part of a day designed to appeal to all ages.

Exotic pets, Albert the donkey, charity stalls and a bouncy castle will be among the other attractions.

There will also be ever-popular doggy activities like temptation alley, doggy lucky dip and fastest recall.

Proceeds from the day will go to the surgery’s charity of the year, the Greyhound Trust.
